We’ve received some fantastic new fabrics from Alexander Henry, the designs pictured have a real Autumnal feel about them, ideal for Halloween projects – apple bobbing anyone? Why not embrace the changing of the seasons with some fabric therapy!

The shop now stocks some lovely gingham, we thought they warranted their own category, so you can find them easily. The width is longer than standard, so you get more to work with, a FQ measures 80cm x 50cm, so if you want 1/2 a metre you’ll receive a piece measuring 160cm x 50cm.

Lots, that’s what! We’ve had a dry spell as far as deliveries go (not as far as the weathers concerned!), stacks has been ordered – but its taken a while to reach us and I’m glad to say its started to arrive.
First we have Kiss Me Owl Pink and Kiss Me Owl Chocolate, super sweet owls just twit twooing for good homes!

It might still be officially summer but the inclement weather has got me thinking about Christmas. I’m the first to twitch when Christmas crackers arrive in the supermarkets 3 months early, but we had to get this adorable reindeer fabric in the shop now. If you look closely you can spot Rudolph with his red nose. Perfect for stockings, runners and tablecloths. You’ll find him here in Funky Christmas.

Next we have the new Free as a Bird collection, lots of pretty colours, dots and sweet little birds.

Finally we have a new fabric category, Organic Cotton. Here you will find the lovely new collection by Nancy Mims ‘Free to Grow’, gorgeous designs that are produced using 100% organic cotton. We have organic plains to add to this category, they should be in the shop next week.

The fabric used for this sweet dress (Itty Bitty Baby dress) is on order, hopefully due to arrive soon. The good news is you can download the pattern free from Made by Rae. This is a lovely blog with lots of great patterns, I particulary like the ‘Big Butt Baby Pants’ – I’ve got to make some for Alfie!
As you can see we’re already taking your comments on board (free patterns), your input has been fantastic – keep it coming!
